How do I sign my school up for Engrade School?

Engrade School is a learning management and assessment platform that brings all of your current educational tools into one convenient environment. Teachers can finally manage the full learning cycle—planning, teaching, assessing, and analyzing in one secure and simple platform—while still using their tools to the fullest potential.

How do I create my school?

When you sign up for Engrade School you will provide us with information about your school. We will then create the school for you in our system and notify you when the school is ready. Please check that all the settings in your new school are correct before starting to use the school.

How do I create my account?

As part of the school creation process, you will provide us with a list of administrators. We will create these first administrator accounts when we create the school. When the administrator accounts are created, each administrator (including yourself) will receive an email containing login information. Also, any administrator, with View and Edit rights, can create additional administrator accounts.

How do my teachers and students create their accounts?

A school administrator creates the accounts for teachers and adds students to the school. This can be done in bulk or on an individual basis. Before a teacher can add students to a class, a school administrator first needs to add those students to the school.

In Engrade School only school administrators can create teacher accounts. However, when teacher accounts are created, each teacher is sent an email containing login information.

When students are added to the system, they do not yet have accounts. Separate actions for creating Student and Parent accounts can be done at anytime, individually or in bulk.

What are Grading Periods and Marking Periods in Engrade School?

 A Grading Period is typically what would be set up to encompass an entire school year. Grading periods have strict dates that cannot overlap. Student rosters and classes are specific to a single grading period.

Marking Periods are set up within a grading period, and they offer a little more flexibility in that they can have overlapping dates.  There are also different types of Marking Periods (standard, designated and averaged) that can serve different purposes for a school. Marking Periods also allow for various types of calculations (semester averages, final averages), that Grading Periods alone do not offer.

How do I sign up for Engrade School?

If you are interested in upgrading your school to Engrade School, tell us what you like most about Engrade, and we’ll share your thoughts with your administrator and offer your school a special offer to get started with Engrade School! Once your school has upgraded to Engrade School, your school administrator will create an account for you. Teacher accounts in Engrade School are created by school administrators.

How do I sign up for my own teacher account?

Please contact a school administrator. In Engrade School, school administrators create teacher accounts rather than the teachers themselves.

How do my students/parents sign up for their own accounts?

Students/parents do not create their own accounts. Once students are enrolled in a class, a teacher can create student accounts in bulk.

Teachers can also create individual parent accounts or contact a school administrator to request that parent accounts be created for students in bulk.

Why can’t I add a new student to my class?

If a new student has not yet been added to school by an administrator, you would not be able to add the student to your class. In Engrade School, students need to added to a school by a school administrator before they can be added to a class by a teacher.

How do I sign up for my own account?

Please contact a teacher or administrator at your school. In Engrade School, parent and student accounts are created by administrators or teachers.

How do I Login?

To login to Engrade School, please go to and enter the username and password provided by a teacher or school administrator.
