This topic covers how to create tests with Multiple Attempts, which allows students to take the test more than once.
Note: In order to use Multiple Attempts, the assessment has to be setup as a Practice or Homework type assessment.
- Select Tests & Quizzes from the left sidebar.
- Select the My Test Library tab to see your tests.
- Select the name of a test to open it, or create a new test by selecting New Test.
Note: If you need a step by step guide on how to create a new test, please see Create:Tests.
- If you have opened an existing assessment, select Edit Test Settings to open the assessment edit page. If you are creating a new assessment, the Edit Test Settings page will be the first page you will see after selecting New Test.
- Set the assessment Type to Practice or Homework.
- Place a check in the box to the left of Multiple Attempts, which is found under the Policies section, and select the Number of Attempts.
- After all assessment settings have been finalized, save your changes by selecting Submit at the bottom of the page.
- When the student goes to the Tests & Quizzes page, the student will see the attempts used / attempts remaining and a take now! button.
- After the student selects the take now! button, they will be notified of the attempt number and the attempts remaining, before starting the test.
- After submitting the test, the student will be notified of the attempts remaining.
- After a student submits a first attempt, the teacher will see the score on the first attempt and the attempts used / attempts available.
- The scoresheet will display the attempt number and the attempts remaining.
- After each additional attempt submission, the teacher will see the score of the most recent attempt and have the option to Clear All attempts or Clear Last Attempt.
- The scoresheet for each additional attempt allows the teacher to switch between attempt scoresheets.
