Add Items to Calendar

This topic covers how to add items to a class calendar.

  1. Select a class to access the class's calendar.

  2. You can then select Calendar from the left sidebar.



  3. You can view assignments from previous or future months using the backward and forward arrows at the top left. 

  4. You can also select a Month, Week or Day calendar view using the buttons at the top right of the page.

  5. A color coding key is displayed at the top right of the calendar page. This will help you to determine what type of item is on the calendar.

  6. Hover over Add New to see options for adding items to the calendar. In the drop-down menu, you will have the following options:

    • Calendar Event: This will allow you to add an event to your class calendar. You can give your event a title, date, description, attach a file and assign to additional classes (if desired). Select the green Add to Class button to create your event.
    • Assignment: This will allow you to create a new assignment and assign it to a date on your class calendar.
    • Quiz: This will allow you to add an existing quiz to a date on your calendar for one or more classes, or you can select the green Create New Quiz button to create a new quiz that you can assign to a date on your class Calendar.
    • File: This will allow you to add an existing file to a date on your calendar or upload new files for one or more classes.
    • Flashcards: This will allow you to add existing flashcards to a date on your calendar for one or more classes, or you can select the green Create New Flashcards button to create new flashcards that you can assign to a date on your class calendar.
    • Wiki: This will allow you to add existing wikis to a date on your calendar for one or more classes, or you can select the green Create New Wiki button to create new wikis that you can assign to a date on your class Calendar.
    • Class Discussion: This will allow you to add a class discussion to your class calendar. You can give your discussion a title, date, description, attach a file and assign to additional classes (if desired). Click the green Add to Class button to create your class discussion.
