Send Message from Inbox

This topic covers how to send an Engrade message.

  1. Select Messages from the top navigation bar.



  2. Select Compose from the left sidebar to compose a new message.

  3. In the To field, type the username of the person(s) to whom you would like to send a message.



  4. If you do not know your recipient’s username, click the contact card icon to the right of the To field.

  5. In the pop-up window, select a school from the drop-down menu to message other teachers or administrators from that school.

  6. Alternatively, select the name a class to message students and/or parents for that class. You can view student names and parent names by selecting the Student and Parent tabs at the top of the window, respectively. 

  7. Select the name(s) of the person(s) you would like to message.



  8. Click the green Done button to add the selected users as your message’s recipients.

  9. In the Subject field, enter the subject of your message.

  10. If you would like, you can attach a file to your message using the Attach drop-down menu.

  11. In the Message field, enter the message you would like to send to your selected user(s).

  12. When you are ready to send your message, click the green Send Message button.
