Set Standards Scales

This topic covers how to set standards scales.

  1. Select a class.

  2. Select Settings from the left sidebar.



  3. From the Settings page, click on the Standards Settings tab.

  4. If your administrator has configured pre-set standards scales, you will have these options available in the drop-down menu to the right of Select your standards scale.

  5. To set a customized standards scale, select My Scale from the drop-down menu to the right of Select your standards scale.

  6. For Standards Based Gradebook and Classic + Standards (Scaled) Gradebook configurations, you will need to customize the following information:
    • Scale Max Value: Enter your scales max value in the box.
    • Standards Scale: Click Add Row or Drop Row to adjust your custom standards scale. For each row, you can add a low and high range, grade mark, description, and color.
    • Mastery Score: Enter a score in the box for which you want students to be considered to have “mastered” the standard.

  7. For Classic + Standards (Mapped) Gradebook configuration, you will need to customize the following information:
    • Scale Max Value: Enter your scale’s max value in the box.
    • Standards Scale: Click Add Row or Drop Row to adjust your custom standards scale. For each row, you can add a low and high range, grade mark, description, and color. Additionally, you will need to align this scale to your class grading scale.
    • Mastery Score: Enter a score in the box for which you want students to be considered to have “mastered” the standard.

  8. You can set additional settings from the Standards Settings tab. For more information on these settings, please see the support article: Set Additional Standards Settings



  9. Click the green Save Settings button to save all your settings.
