View Sent Alerts

This topic covers how to view SMS records for alerts that have been sent to parents. 

This option is not available for email-based alerts.

Parent Alerts are currently available to schools and school districts for an additional cost. If you are interested in using Parent Alerts, contact your school or district administrator to inquire if this feature may be available for your school.

  1. Select Parent Alerts from the left sidebar.

  2. To view sent records for SMS alerts, select the name of an SMS alert.

  3. Once you have clicked on an alert, you will be taken to a page that displays the date and time the selected alert was sent, as well as the number of alerts sent and the number of alerts received.

  4. Select the date/time of a particular alert to view more detailed information about the selected alert.

  5. At the top of the page, you can view a pie chart that will display the number of alerts received by parents.

  6. To the right, you can see the number of alerts sent on the specific date and the number of recipients to whom the alert was sent.

  7. If the alert failed to send to any recipients, you will see the affected student’s name, the number of sent attempts and the associated parent cell number beneath the Incorrect Number List header.

  8. You can update the parent’s cell number directly on this page by clicking Edit Number to the right of their student’s name.

  9. In the pop-up window, make the necessary changes to the parent’s cell number.

  10. When you are finished, click the green Edit Parent Cell Button button to save your changes. This will update the selected student’s parent cell number in Engrade.
