Edit: Tests

This topic covers how to edit existing tests.

  1. Select Tests & Quizzes on the left sidebar.

  2. Select the My Test Library tab.


  3. Select the name of the test you wish to edit.

    If you have been given View permissions to the test, you will see a padlock icon and the test owner’s name in the owner column. You will not be able to edit this test.

  4. Hover over the Add New button and select one of the following options:
    • Select Question to create a brand new question.
    • Select Question from Question Bank to add an existing question (that you or someone else who has shared a test with you had previously created)
    • Select Questions by Standard to search for questions that have been tagged to a particular standard.
    • Select Question from Passage Bank to search for questions that have been tagged to passages in tests that you created or that have been shared with you.
    • Select Section to create a new section of the test.


  5. Hover over the gear icon to the right of a question and select the desired option from the drop-down menu:
    • Select Edit to edit the question.
    • Select Remove from Test to delete the question from your test (it will remain in the question bank).
    • Select Preview to preview the question from a student’s perspective.

  6. If utilizing standards, click the blue Tag button to the right of a question. You will be able to review currently tagged standards, and add/remove additional standards in the pop-up window.

  7. To rearrange the order of the test questions, click and hold the grid icon to the left of the question you wish to move. Then, drag and drop the question into the desired order.

  8. Hover over Options at the top of the page, and select Edit Test Settings to update any settings on the test (i.e. time limit, score viewing options, etc.)
